Presentations
In addition to traditional readings and classroom discussions, Kitty Oliver presents a variety of entertaining musical and educational programs for student and adult audiences focusing on race relations, ethnic diversity issues, oral history, and writing from the personal point of view. Presentations include:
"Multicolored Memories", a literary program of jazz music and vocals highlighting readings from the autobiographical essays Multicolored Memories of a Black Southern Girl and reflections on race relations history in the U.S., with audience participation.

"An
Evening of Jazz and Memories", featuring jazz standards and poignant multicultural oral histories on race relations followed by audience sharing of experiences. *A video presentation also available.
• Literary Touring Shows: "Telling Our Stories; Telling Our Lives", a presentation of Florida Life Histories from the WPA's Federal Writers Project with jazz music (with two co-stars); "Hemingway and All That Jazz", a presentation of the works and the life of the writer with jazz music from various eras (with two co-stars); "A Trip to Zoraville in Word and Song", readings and classic jazz showcasing the colorful and combative life of iconic Florida writer Zora Neale Hurston, queen of the Harlem Renaissance (with two co-stars); "Go Down Moses: Klezmer, Blues, Blacks and Jews", innovative pairing of songs and personal stories exploring Black/Jewish ties presented with a six-piece Klezmer band performing traditional Yiddish music.
